Hannah Ignacio is a Filipina-American director, producer, and actor from Chicago, now based in Los Angeles. Since adolescence, she has crafted heartfelt films rooted in identity, family, and grief, themes she continued exploring while attending DePaul University’s BFA Film program.
Her work as a producer has earned a $10K national film grant and the Chicago Award from the Chicago International Film Festival’s CineYouth. As a director, she was named 1 of 20 top winners in The Artlist Creative Fest, an international competition with nearly 1,000 submissions.
Her latest proof-of-concept short film, Sugar, Sorry—which she wrote, directed, produced, and starred in—premiered at NFFTY [25] and continues its festival run. As a freelance director and producer, Hannah brings a hands-on, visually-driven approach grounded in resourcefulness. She has collaborated with brands like Artlist.io and Vox Media, reaching a combined audience of over 6 million.
Based in Hollywood, Hannah is acting in films and music videos, producing narratives and UGC, and developing her debut feature, Sugar, Sorry, continuing her focus on engaging storytelling that spotlight women and POC voices.
